Our Services

Our services include a full range of care for people at all stages of life, including:

A range of blood tests are available for health investigation and screening, upon consultation with a doctor.

Blood tests are done in the morning to facilitate courier collection and transfer to the laboratories.

Please DO NOT REQUEST that the nurse/phlebotomist ‘ADD IN ‘ EXTRA BLOOD TESTS that have not been requested by the doctor. Such requests require prior approval from the doctor who ordered your tests and cannot be facilitated during your appointment.

Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, YOU NO LONGER NEED TO FAST for most blood tests.

Please note that you should take your regular medications and drink plenty of water before your blood tests.

We DO NOT carry out blood tests on CHILDREN UNDER 16 yrs.

Bloods for under 16s are done at the CHI (Children’s Health Ireland) clinics at Connolly, Tallaght and Crumlin and appointments for same must be booked on line using ‘SWIFTQUEUE.COM’. You must have a completed blood test request form from your doctor to bring to the appointment.

Due to the extremely large volume of blood tests our doctors have to review on a daily basis – it can take up to 14 days for you to be informed of your blood test results (unless a result warrants urgent attention).

Similarly, it can take up to 14 days for you to be informed of (non urgent) results of X Rays, scans or other investigations done at the hospital.
