Children's Health at Oakwood Medical Clinic

Children’s health focuses on supporting growth, development, and wellbeing from infancy through adolescence. At Oakwood Medical Clinic, we provide comprehensive care for children of all ages, addressing everything from routine check-ups and vaccinations to the diagnosis and management of common childhood illnesses.

We believe in creating a calm and reassuring environment where both children and parents feel comfortable and informed. Our doctors take the time to listen, explain, and guide families with evidence-based care, ensuring every child receives the attention and support they need for a healthy start in life.

Two-week and six-week check-ups are available for all newborn babies.

Please note that the 2 and 6 week baby checks will incur a charge, unless baby’s mum attended signed up for and attended Oakwood Medical for Combined Antenatal Care (CANC).

Checks for Physical Growth (Height, Weight and Head Circumference) and Neurological Development (Eyesight, Hearing, Speech, Movement) can be carried out in the clinic. Advice on Infant feeding and Nutrition is available.

Immunisation (also known as vaccination) is a safe and effective way to help the body prevent or fight off certain diseases. It is important as not only will it protect your child against diseases that can cause serious illness and even death, but also by preventing their spread to other susceptible individuals.
